Back To The Basics
It has been said that early socialization is good for the growing child. Indeed, the choices we make from childhood, the struggles we face growing up, prepare us for life and shape who we eventually become. There is no doubt that the home remains the main conduit for grooming good and responsible citizens. We all need to look inwards, and find those areas of our individual and communal life that require mending, and mend them. As Frederick Douglas puts it…“It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men”.
Over the years, growing up amidst all types of stereotypes, below is a selection of activities that represent how I spent my time when I was not in school (during my school years) or at work.
